Hello, beautiful babes! Lindsey here & we’ve got a fun way to kick off your weekend! You know when you see gorgeous floral arrangements scrolling through Pinterest and you just wish they would appear on your kitchen table, perfectly colorful and smelling like summertime? Well, today is your lucky day! The lovely Leslie from Everly Alaine Florals is teaching us how to create this simple DIY floral centerpiece with supermarket flowers!
Create a grid with clear tape across the opening of the vase. Two pieces taped horizontally and two pieces taped vertically often is enough. This will support the flowers and help keep them in place.
Start with your greenery first. Remove any leaves on the middle and lower half of the stem so that no leaves will be in the water. Be sure to give the end a fresh trim. Only the clean stem should be in the water.
Add your biggest and best blooms. Add them at an angle using the tape to hold them where you want them. They should lean gently against the tape. Be sure to give each stem a fresh trim and remove any leaves or thorns.
Add your delicate, smaller blooms as accents to add color where needed. Place them at different angles and varying heights. Try them in different spots and angles to see what looks good. Be sure to trim each stem and remove any leaves or thorns, so each stem is clean and fresh. When placing flowers, try to keep the blooms from being too tightly packed together, but make sure your tape is completely covered.
Step back and enjoy! If you see anything that doesn’t look right, you can easily move pieces around to find the right spot. Place them wherever you like them best!
